Saints Row: The Third – Pimpalicious Threads and Bling Shotguns

Volition are bringing us some new DLC for their sandbox hit Saints Row: The Third. “The Explosive Combat Pack” lets players get their hands on an all new M2 Grenade Launcher as well as a shiny Future Soldier outfit. The Second DLC, known as “The Z Style Pack”, will allow you to roam the streets like a futuristic rapper armed with a blinged up shotgun while dressed in a “bold and pimpalicious” outfit.

Each of these pieces of DLC work out at 160 MS Points each and are available from today on Xbox 360, although unfortunately are not included in the Season Pass. PS3 owners should see these packs arrive later this week on their system of choice.

GTA III: Mobile

Published by in News on December 6th, 2011

Normally we don’t cover mobile games here at Rearpe Gaming but for this one I thought I’d make an acception after all this is GTA in your pocket!! Considering the original GTA was released in 1997/1998 on the windows Dos format  and  GTA 3 came out in 2001, developed by DMA Designs ( now know as Roackstar North) this was the first GTA to bring the third person view into the GTA series. Gaming  no longer took place in a top down scroll and shot em up and it was something that changed the sandbox gaming industry forever.

Grand Theft Auto

Grand Theft Auto 3: Liberty City

This game has had four previous outings in it life span, GTA 3 was released in 2001 on the Ps2, 2002  on the Xbox, 2002 on the PC and 2010 on the MAC OSX.

Rockstar has announced that GTA 3 will arrive on select iOS and Android devices on the fifteenth of  December. Grand Theft Auto III: 10 Year Anniversary Edition $4.99.

Every wanted to have GTA 3 in your pocket, well now you can. If you really want it.

Battlefield 3: Wake Island Gameplay Trailer

Published by in News on December 6th, 2011

While the rest of us mere mortals have to wait until the thirteenth of December for the Battlefield 3 expansion pack Back to Karkland, PS3 owners are currently getting their frag on with the new packs as we speak. But its OK! Because EA and Dice have released a new video of what were missing out on. Talk about rubbing slat in a festering wound!

I’ll try and be professional here..expletive you, ya expletive expletive. Release the expletiveing Map Pack at the same time, for expletive sake.

So this is what we are waiting on, and I must say it looks amazing. expletive expletive!

Wii U: Spec Sheet Leaked

Published by in News on December 6th, 2011

When the Wii U first made an appearance on the world stage back at E3 2011, there were whispers  going around that it was going to be equal to or greater in power then the Xbox360 or the PS3. Oh how many people laughed and scoffed at the idea.
Now those whispers may been proven true, a new spec list for the wii u has been “leaked” onto the web by a “Japanese Developer” who is currently working on porting an existing PS3 title onto the wii u.

So what’s in it?

The leaked spec sheet show the Wii U running a:

Quad Core, 3GHz PowerPC-based 45nm CPU,
768 MB of DRAM shared between the CPU and the GPU,
While the graphics will be powered by a  40nm AMD Chip.

However, that’s not all, the source who leaked the sheet claims that Nintendo have shipped two devices one with 768 MB Ram and the other with 1GB.
Considering the Xbox 360 elite is currently running a IBM Power PC – 3.2 GHz ( Triple-Core ) with 512MB of RAM with a 500 MHz ATI Xenos graphics card. While the PS3 is packing a 3.2 GHz Cell Broadband Engine with 1 PPE & 7 SPEs,  256MB for the system and 256MB for the graphics processor with a 550 MHz NVIDIA/SCEI RSX ‘Reality Synthesizer’ rounding off the package. The Wii U looks like a real powerhouse beside them.

Although it’s all just rumour and a case of mine is theoretically bigger than yours at the moment we will have to wait until E3 2012 to see the real article running.  I just hope they have something decent to show case this console with, don’t get me wrong I love Mario as much as the next person but…
