VGA 2011 Trailers

Published by in News on December 11th, 2011

Now that the winners list is out of the way what about the really good stuff. The VGA’s are a good opportunity for developers to tease us with some new trailers of what we can expect to see. This year was no different and there are a few gems here. Metal Gear Solid Rising “Revengeance” Trailer Moving away from the cigarette smoking OAP Solid Snake, Konami have turned to cyborg ninja Raiden to lead the way in this new installment of the metal gear series. Platinum Games will develop the title so you know its going to be as

NeverDead: TGS 2011 Trailer

Immortality is not all fun and games you know, or at least not if your the protagonist of Konami’s forthcoming release NeverDead. Bryce Boltzmann whom was cursed with immortality five hundred years ago by The Demon King, spends his never ending life wisecracking and hunting the minions of the darkness along side Arcadia, a mortal private investigator in what looks like one of the campest releases in video game history. NeverDead has been developed by Rebellion Developments and is due for release later this year on PS3 and Xbox 360.

Silent Hill: Downpour – New Trailer

Konami’s new trailer showcasing the next installment in the long running Silent Hill series has appeared at this years TGS and has two major standout points. Firstly I have not seen this many prisoners and nuns on screen since I last trawled through Master Gii Bag’s disturbingly large collection of 70′s Sexsploitation films on Betamax and secondly this trailer has to take the prize for the worst soundtrack of the last ten years, this piece of promotion has the slime covered trails of a marketing department all over it, more than likely in the hope that EMO’s (or is that EMU’s? I

Pro Evo 2012 – PC demo impressions

There’s a rift among the footy-playing denizens of reaper towers. On one side the massed hordes of unwashed fifa lovers, on the other one heroic, sensual man still believing – still hoping -  in Shingo “Seabass” Takatsuka and Pro Evolution soccer. It wasn’t always this way. Once, fifa was a figure of lumpy fun, even back in the 16-bit days all the cool kids were playing the embryonic and axiometric-tastic International Superstar Soccer instead. It mutated into Pro Evolution Soccer on the playstation/playstation 2 reaching its zenith with the brilliant pro evo 5 while fifa continued to snivel along

Frogger 3D

Published by in News on August 21st, 2011

Being honest I don’t really know what else there is to say but its frogger and he’s in 3D. For those of you who have no idea what the hell I’m talking about, Frogger saw you playing as a frog and you had to get  from one side of the screen to the other without getting hit by a truck or drowning. Have a look and you’ll get the idea (you were the little green thing by the way)   And now he’s back but in 3D and Konami producer Tak Fujii is certainly very excited about it. Release date

Silent Hill: Downpour Trailer

Prison is a funny old place filled with endless awful possibilities, weight lifting with Aryan crackpots, glass in your food and getting arse rapped in the showers, to name but a few of the available pastimes. To my joy I can tell you the nearest I’ve ever gotten to a correctional institution is watching the OZ box set four or five times, but given the choice between prison and Silent Hill, I think I know where I would rather take my chances. With the 8th game in Konami’s nerve jangling survival horror franchise due for release in a little over

Silent Hill HD Collection Off Screen Trailer

When first announced at E3 this year many of us where overjoyed at the thought of reliving the nerve jangling antics of the earlier games from the Silent Hill series and today at this years Comic-Con we had our first look at the new collection bundle in all its visceral glory. Although the quality resembles a pirate video circa 1990, there is enough there to affirm that for both established fans and those who may have missed these two titles the first time around, this is a must have. The Silent Hill HD Collection, containing Silent Hill 2 and 3 is
