On 1st of May, Valve has released a new patch for Portal. As we all know Valve never used a common language that normal users could understand. The yesterday patch notes go like this :
“Changed radio transmission frequency to comply with federal and state spectrum management regulations.”
Well, this doesn’t make any sense for any gamers and they might even bump their heads to the wall. Let me explain it to you in a couple of simple words. What that means is there is a new achievement called “Transmission Received.”
At first you might think that getting this achievement is handy-dandy but you are wrong. What you need to do is to carry a radio with you through the game and pick up 26 broadcasts at key locations. The broadcasts seem to have more information than thought at first. Some gamers are trying to decipher those transmissions.
